Before expressing myself as an actor, I had visual art to get me through my shyness as a young child. My first piece ever was a tulip fence on aluminum foil using permanent markers.
Art need not be perfect, precise or realistic. It just needs to speak to you on a soul level and tell a story.
Artists and illustrators whose work has always inspired me include Henri Matisse, George Rodrigue, Mary Engelbreit, Quentin Blake and Shel Silverstein.
My work is quirky, fun folk art in acrylic, pen and ink and digital. Sometimes with glitter and Louisiana flare and always with a lil magic and whimsy.
