Brooke Does Comedy

Brooke grew up watching Saturday Night Live with her male baby-sitters and read all of the Gilda Radner biographies and autobiographies she could find in one month. She always had a love for sketch writing, performing and improvisation. Brooke has taken classes for improvisation at Upright Citizens Brigade. One night, when Brooke was talking to God, she decided it was about time she get some balls and start standing-up.

Brooke has performed at various New York City clubs including Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up! New York, New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club (where she performed right after Sarah Silverman) and at The Stockinette (knitting café) in Jersey City.

She is currently writing a one woman show based on multiple character’s views of “The Secret” and “The Law of Attraction” as well as various sketches coming soon to the video section.

Brooke’s first autobiographical one woman show “Wayward Souls” was selected to perform at United Solo Artists Theatre Festival in November 2010 at Theatre Row.  She will continue to submit the show to various one person festivals in the NYC and surrounding areas.  Check back for updates.
