I am super excited and grateful to announce that a short I shot Summer 2013 on the Jersey Shore will be making its premier at TriBeCa Film Festival this Spring!

Trust Me, I’m a Lifeguard is a bro-mantic comedy about two lifeguards, who, when confronted with the end of summer, are forced to make adult decisions such as: What is the meaning of life? What makes a good Speedo? And, are those clams safe to eat?

When I saw the casting notice, it said it was “The Caddyshack of the Jersey Shore” and when I saw the breakdown for the rival lifeguard ‘Smitty’, I said, “Aw yeah, sign me up.” And, I danced to the Kenny Loggins song “I’m Alright” while fist pumping when Donna McKenna (casting director) told me I got the part.

The short stars the writer/creators Tyler Hollinger and Christian Keiber and is directed by Tony Glazer (who I also had the pleasure of working with just recently on a new play reading, “SLOB”). There is a great group of people behind this production and I couldn’t be happier for its TriBeCa Film Festival debut. The ladies of the cast have had our red carpet dresses donated by Kathy Hilton (yes, Paris Hilton’s mom)

Come check out one of the showings! I will be there walking the red carpet for the premier on Friday April 18, 2014 at 10:45pm. Hope to see y’all there!
